The first one I played was a $2 $5k Guarantee were I finished 1306/2194. Nothnig spectacular in this one, but every hand I went in ahead I got out flopped, just how it goes.
I followed up with the $3 $8k Guarantee where I managed to cash for $4.80. Obviously this is not a big thing from a financial point of view, but I felt I played well overall. I did make a couple of mistakes, leading out on a draw heavy board when I had missed and getting raised, but pretty standard overall. I did managed to shove QQ into AA and spike a Q on the river which was a nice double up, but no really fantastic hands at the right time.
I was down to 12BB when I shoved 44 on the BTN and found TT in the BB, oh well, fun was had and I am happy to try again.
As far as SNGs go I had a poor day, I managed to play 8 and had a poor run in the first 5, usual stuff really, no amazing beats, running AA in AQ was another beat, but hey they happen and this is not primarily a beat blog now is it?
The last 3 of the evening went better with a couple of 2nds and a win so 1 Buy In down, but feeling good.
